GOAL: Enjoy the Fall Colors and the Fall Leaves
Choose one of the ideas below to use the colored leaves that come with Fall to have fun and bond as a family.
Let family members help choose the Adventure you complete.
Keep it fun and simple, even if it involves work. Remember-- this is about family bonding and spending time together.
Be flexible! If you are raking leaves plan for a few times of jumping in the leaves and having to start over.
If you do a Fall craft, hang it in a prominent place where the kids can see that you are proud of their efforts and eager to show off their work.
Fall is the perfect time of year for all kinds of FREE Family Fun. Once those leaves start falling there is a whole world of possibilities that can help families grow closer and build resilience in the process. Choose one or more of the following to enjoy the beautiful Fall leaves around you.
❏ Take a drive through a nearby canyon to enjoy the Fall leaves, or just through a neighborhood that has a variety of trees.
❏ Rake all of those leaves up into a pile and . . . JUMP into them! BONUS: Raking leaves is perhaps the most fun and easy way for families to work together, and it provides a great opportunity to teach a myriad lessons of life, including the important lesson that work dosn't have to be drudgery!)
