Family Adventure
GOAL: Help family members develop the virtue of being kind
The ADVENTURE:
Choose from the suggestions below (or think of one of your own) and participate in activities to develop a habit of kindness.
TIPS:
Let your child share what they did for this Adventure and ask them how it impacted them.
Support the child in their 'kindness' efforts, especially if they need something to make it happen.
Provide positive feedback when you see your child/children being kind. This doesn't need to be limited to kind acts being done officially for this Adventure. Make it a habit of noticing when you see kindness, recognizing and acknowledging the kindness, expressing gratitude for the kindness, and expressing how the kindness makes you feel.
Things as simple as a SMILE or a COMPLIMENT can literally change the trajectory of someone's day. You may never know your simple kindness lifted someone struggling to a better place, or helped a stranger see beauty in the world instead of the darkness surrounding them before you showed up.
You can bake a treat for someone having a rough day, make your sister's bed, or do a job around the house that no one wants to do, but remember that the simple things count to-- open a door for someone, let a friend choose first, or take time to listen to a friend who needs to talk. Every little kindness counts!
KINDNESS BINGO
Here are some fun activities you can try to get the kindness going in your home and neighborhood:
Kindness BINGO! Go for BINGO or go for BLACKOUT!
Remember that you don't have to do it all today!

Pre-K Adventure
Complete a random act of kindness with your little Adventurer. Tell them how happy it makes you to do ice things for others.
Community Engagement Adventure
Want to take this Adventure to the Seasons of Service level?
Here are some ideas~
Get others involved in your kindness campaign. Sometimes all it takes is a simple invitation. Invite a few friends to join you in completing your kind acts of service.
You may want to host a friendly 'Kindness Challenge'. Challenge a few of your friends and see who can rack up the most kind acts in a given day or week. You may even want to make the 'challenge' be to see who can get the most people to participate with you on your Kindness campaign.
Set a goal with your group of friends to perform a certain number of kind acts during the week and then work together to accomplish the goal.
Teen Adventure
Give your teen one extra compliment a day and encourage them to do the same.
