Looking for something to do as a family that's FREE and FUN!?!

The Family Freebie Calendar lists a wide variety of FREE events happening in the community that are family friendly. Everything from the free Saturday activities at Lowes and Home Depot to free pancakes at IHOP on national pancake day to community events sponsored by various non-profit organizations or businesses.

Not all of the events on this calendar are associated with the My Discovery Destination! summer program, but they are fun, family-oriented and FREE!

HISTORY OF THE FAMILY FREEBIE CALENDAR:

The Family Freebie Calendar is a calendar started over a decade ago when Sharilee was running the Youth and Families with Promise Mentoring Program. The goal was to provide ideas for the families and youth in the mentoring program to have fun, FREE activities they could experience together.

The calendar continued through Sharilee's time as Director of the Cache Valley Volunteer Center and Program Coordinator for the Team Mentoring program. She has continued to post free events she comes across on the calendar for families to enjoy. At times she has been pro-active in going out a looking for the free activities, and at other times she simply added free events she came across. We are again actively maintaining the calendar and hope that the calendar can be helpful to you in creating family memories, strengthening family ties, and having fun without breaking the budget!
