Go Sledding!

Family Adventure

GOAL:  Have a lot of family fun while also getting exercise, using your large motor skills and practicing teambuilding

The ADVENTURE:  Go Sledding!   Have fun!!

TIPS:

 Hot chocolate!!

Let the kids pick the hills you sled down and make up fun rules for turning it into a race, etc. Parents, of course, are ultimately in charge of keeping it SAFE!

Each child gets to pick a game to play one round of around the warm fireplace after you get home!

Make a BIG DEAL about the expertise of each sledder, and the effort it took to pull the sled up the hill, help each other out, steer the sled down the hill, etc.

Make up a story about the sledding experience as a bedtime story. You can get the whole family involved by having each person tell a part of the story and then pass it on to the next person. You'll end up with a fun history that includes everyone's version of this family event!

Read a favorite story that includes sledding.

No matter where you go sledding-- big hill or bunny hill, near or far-- have FUN with this!.

You can go down the hill individually on sleds or in teams. The point is to take time to really enjoy being together.

If you live in the Salt Lake City area here are some great, FREE sledding hills to enjoy:
